The Marie Pierre Wine Club May 2014

Do you love wine? Do you find wine complex/ confusing? Do you find it hard to pair your wine with your food?

Fret not! Marie Pierre now offers you the idea platform for you to have your questions answered.

The Marie Pierre Wine Club will be a monthly event taking place on the first Saturday of every month with the first edition going down this Saturday, 3rd May 2014.

The main idea behind the club is to bring together wine lovers as well as those who have always had an interest in discovering more about wine.  Those in attendance will get to taste some of the wines that are in the market and also have the opportunity of buying wine by the bottle. The select wines will be creatively paired with canapés/ food to give you that experience that you have been craving for.

At hand to carry out the tasting sessions will be our Sommelier Juan Cambil with the first tasting will kick off at 3:15 pm.   Our MC Kobi Kihara will work with Juan to engage the crowd while a string trio from the Nairobi Orchestra, made up of Brian Sempele, Fred Pessa and Alenga Luvai, will be playing some incidental music. 

We shall also have a fun segment “apprentice sommelier” where we will pick 5 people at random to get tested on their newly acquired wine knowledge for a chance to win fantastic prizes.

The tasting is scheduled to end at 6PM where DJ Somi will take over and bring the crowd to their feet as they dance away to some house music till 10PM.
