Blankets & Wine At 50

Over the years, Kenya’s live music scene has made significant strides and Blankets & Wine has been at the epicenter of this revival that has witnessed the emergence and growth of various acts that have gone ahead to define  Kenya’s urban sound and culture today.

As the country turns 50 this December, East Africa’s premier music experience celebrates its 50th edition in 5 years this January. To mark this glorious milestone for Blankets & Wine and Kenyan music, we’re hosting a spectacular 2 day festival at the Carnivore Gardens, Nairobi on the 4th and 5th of January 2014.

‘Blankets & Wine at 50’ is a celebration of this journey and the culmination of all that Blankets & Wine has aspired and become. This edition brings together a selection of some of the musicians who have walked this journey with us and as we venture towards the next chapter of this unraveling tale of Kenya’s musical voyage, it’s only appropriate that we take a moment to look back at the far we’ve come.
