Extremely hilarious TIT FOR TAT from Fri Mar 10th to Sun 12th at the Louis Leakey Auditorium, Museum Hill, featuring a star-studded cast. This is not your typical comedy. While full of laughter, the play highlights power, marital problems and societal issues.
The Governor’s housekeeper (Timothy Ndisii) exercises extreme discretion as each family member confides their weekend plans. The Governor (Juma Anderson Williams) announces that he will be playing golf out of town, while his wife (Liz Guye) and daughter (Janet Kirina) mention plans of their own.
Thinking the house is empty, both the politician and his daughter each arrive back at the house with their lovers, respectively, his neighbour and mistress (Valentine Wambui); and his daughter's boyfriend (Tahidi High star Kelvy Thagana). Their predicament is further complicated when a bomb threat sends his aide (Mwajuma Belle), and staffer (Maina Olwenya) to fulfil security measures as the politician’s wife arrives back home unexpectedly to discover strange goings-on. She plots a revenge on her husband who, together with the daughter's boyfriend, assume new identities but what follows is a series of hilarious events as cases of mistaken identities threaten well-laid plans and chaos rise!
