Overview

Saruni Samburu is located at the heart of the Kalama Community Wildlife Conservancy, about 7 km from the Northern border of the Samburu National Reserve (accessed through the Kalama Gate). It also borders Ngutuk Ongiron to the west, Namunyak Community Conservation Trust to the north and Sera Community Wildlife Conservation to the north east.

Accommodation:

With the elegant style and private atmosphere of its four villas, Saruni offers “the feeling of exclusivity, of having an incredibly large area totally to yourself, and a high level of comfort and tailor-made service”. Its extraordinary views look out over the surrounding rangelands, the mountains of Samburuland all the way until Mount Kenya.
Saruni Samburu has two large family-style villas and two single villas. The rooms are built into the rock, with sensational views, outdoor showers, huge sitting rooms, the ultimate in Kenyan luxury.
A communal dining area called Kudu House and an infinity swimming pool also overlook the vast and wild wilderness below, including a waterhole where big game – elephant, giraffe, kudu – come to drink.
The lodge also has 2 large infinity pools with incredible views.

Dining:

The lodge offers flexible dining options, but usually three course meals are served in main area with private dinners vailable.
Bush meals - breakfast along the Ewaso Niro River and starlit dinners under the vast African skies in a dry river bed.

Child-carers or ayahs can be organized upon request for $10 per hour payable direct.
