Overview

On the banks of the Galana, one of Kenya’s biggest rivers, Galdessa is an Italian-owned, makuti-roofed lodge of 15 bandas, nestling under the doum palms in an isolated corner of Tsavo East National Park. The area is excellent for elephants and lions and has spectacular birdlife.

Accommodation:

Main Galdessa; The camp boasts of 12 spacious thatched and semi tented bungalows on wooden platform each of them with an en suit bathroom and a private shower.
All the bungalows are situated a good distance apart form each other to ensure the guest privacy on their stay at the camp.
Private Galdessa; Private Galdessa consist of 3 bandas with its own dining and lounge. The bandas can be booked on an exclusive basis allowing your party absolute privacy and the freedom to plan your days and meals as you wish.

Dining:

Hearty, Italian home cooking forms the basis of meals at Galdessa, with vegetarians always catered for if requested. Morning and afternoon tea are served in guests’ bandas.
