Nakuru means "Dust or Dusty Place" in the Maasai language. Lake Nakuru National Park was established in 1961. It started off small, only encompassing the famous lake and the surrounding mountainous vicinity, but has since been extended to include a large part of the savannah. This park is known for its thousands of Flamingoes coloring the lake pink and the rhino sanctuary amongst other wildlife. Due to the low water levels in the Rift Valley Lakes there is less algae formation which is food to the flamingoes which has decreased the number of these birds. However the park has about 56 other different species of mammals including the white rhinos, buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds over 450 species.  

Transport: We will base the ground transport in our safari equipped Mini Van. The 4 x 4 vehicle will offer a good experience for you as they are custom built and have good ground clearance making them particularly suitable for Safari work. On the rough roads, our vehicles provide a degree of comfort superior to other Safari vehicles. The advantage is that you can drive off-road without getting stuck. You will have the vehicle on exclusive use.

Our driver / guides are familiar with all routes and road conditions in the region. They have excellent knowledge on wildlife, local people and the fauna and flora of Kenya. They are also expert game spotters. Our safari guides are members of the Kenya Professional Safari Guide Association (KPSGA) and have obtained the bronze level, proudly displaying their badges. Striving to attain the silver badge is their goal but most important to them and us is to make each and every safari unique and special for YOU. 

You will be picked from your Town Hotel / Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at around 0730Hrs latest and Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. To the Park it is approximately 03 hours Drive. You will Perform Game Drives in the Park as per your convenience. Your driver guide will recommend for you a place to take Lunch in the Park ( payable direct). You will afterwards proceed after lunch for another game drive before you exit the park and return to Nairobi. You will afterwards be dropped at your Town Hotel ( payable direct) / Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound flight.
