Best of Toastmasters Kenya 2015

July 4th is a date you need to mark down in your calendar now, for you cannot afford to miss it. With free transport to and from CBD /Ole Sereni and a day and evening packed full of fun, you have every reason to attend.

The day promises to be an exhilarating Saturday featuring entertainment from Africa's best public speakers.

You will start the afternoon by cheering your friends or club members as they compete for the title of Speaking Champion against 25 others in our Speech Derby. You could also choose to be one of the contestants and prove your mettle as one of Africa's best public speakers. 

The Speech Derby starts with each of the 25 contestants in five different groups giving a general speech. The top two in each group earn a coveted place in the semi-finals where they get to crack our ribs with a humourous speech. We will then ask you the audience to select a topic which the top three will speak on during the finals.

Before we hear the finalists present their last speech, we shall practice our own impromptu speaking and get entertained when 9 speakers chosen at random speak on various topics for 90 seconds each. This mini contest of impromptu speakers (Table Topics) will have fantastic prizes provided by our sponsors for the best speakers. 

At 5:30 pm we shall then invite the three finalists back to the lectern and see the very best speakers battle it out for the chance to lift the trophy of Best of Toastmasters Speaking Champion 2015.

With our ribs tickled, and our appetite whetted, we shall take a short break for an hour to get ready a stylish and relaxing evening. During this time you will get to rub shoulders with the fantastic speakers you've witnessed and network with speakers and leaders from Rwanda, South Africa and Kenya.

Our evening will start with sumptuous buffet dinner at 7:00pm. The Brag and Borrow Buffet will feature the different clubs in Kenya giving presentations about their achievements and what makes them the best at what they do. The club that scores the highest marks in this fun and creative session will walk away with bragging rights as the best toastmasters club in Kenya

Finally we shall end the night on a high with a key note speech from the celebrated Beth Thomas, DTM, PID, PDG; a champion of public speaking in Africa.
