The school takes prides in its pupil academic performance with more than three quarters of the girls progressing to admission in universities.
In order to raise money for student sponsorship Starehe Girls Centre has been holding a 10km annual fundraising walk for the last 9 year. This year’s walk is planned to take place on 6th of June at Ngong Road Forest Sanctuary with an expected 3000 people participating.
The walk is a fun, healthy and friendly event catering to students, mentors, sponsors, local celebrity runners, health walkers, local communities and families who seek to support a noble cause. The walk will also double as a fundraiser through individual and corporate sponsorship that will help fund the aspiring scholars and create awareness
