Mardi Gras Nairobi

MARDI GRAS in Kenya?! Hell yeah! Kenya's first Mardi Gras will be hitting the Nairobi festival scene on March 7th at the Tree House and is going to be an epic splash of colour, music, food and art. Running from both inside Tree House and outside parking area, the Mardi Gras will boast two stages jamming tunes from some of Kenya's most notorious and wild DJs and bands.
With good music, comes art! From the moran stilt-walkers and incredible art installations, to the afro-funk music and fire dancing performance artists, this will be a colour-evoking multi-sensory experience.

In the true sense of Mardi Gras, there will be floats featured by some of Kenya's most celebrated and notorious art collectives and organisations such as PAWA254, AFRA and Up Magazine to name a few. To keep up with the colour and eclectic ambience of the event, prepare to get your taste buds doing the oral cha cha with the collection of street food throughout the night.
