Nairobi’s number one charity dance music festival Earthdance Nairobi is here yet again. The Kenyan edition of this global peace party will be happening on Saturday 30th September at The Ngong Racecourse’s tranquil Waterfront. This year’s event features three mighty stages, each to their own representing the core movements in Kenya’s music scene. Along with the banging soundtrack we will retain the BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) bar system which seems to have become somewhat of an Earthdance staple. Prepare yourself for the ultimate festival experience in Nairobi to date!

[Re-Evolution]
This year’s theme is the embodiment of today’s culture. It’s time for a universal Re-Evolution, moving us together through music and dance, towards our highest purpose of peace building and unity.

Re-Evolution means setting ourselves, and our humanity on track to a future that will sustain our healthy children. In this next time of evolutionary growth, we hope for joy, together as we explore our world, delight in nature, and celebrate the diversity that sustains us. We believe that through our powerful, global group connection, people everywhere in every country and culture will reach heightened awareness of our common purpose – we pray together for peace, and then we celebrate!

Together we learn and expand. We include, and don’t exclude. Re-Evolution makes it clear that peace, social justice, environmental harmony and global unity trumps fear, anger and delusion. We attract, and recruit!

As music is what drives Earthdance Nairobi. New to this year’s event is the “Time Machine” Stage that will feature your favourite Ol’ Skool DJs dropping all the anthems from 2009 (Our founding year) and before. All the classics on one stage! After looking at what drives Nairobi’s nightlife, we identified these core movements to be most representative our city’s entertainment scene and embodied them in this year’s stages:
1. The Love Stage (Electronic)
2. The Peace Stage (Time Machine)
3. The Happiness Stage (Urban)

[What should you bring?]
BYOB is back! And that means we bring dem beats, and you bring your booze! As this is an outdoor festival, there is a NO GLASS policy. Which means you must decant any drinks in glass bottles into plastic bottles before you get there. If you cannot find any plastic bottles we will have a mandatory 'Decanting Station’ with plastic bottles on sale at the gate for all drinks in glass bottles. For the safest festival experience, NO GLASS is the best way to go! (More details to follow on our social media). As usual the festival bar will be running throughout to ensure those cooler boxes remain stacked to the max! Just be prepared to surrender your glass if you buy anything in a bottle.
